March Madness became a February Frenzy on Championship Saturday. The stands were packed and the fans got to see 4 leagues crown their champions. Congratulations go out to:

The Media Youth Center will hold its 2017 Winter Basketball Tournaments for the following grade levels:
2017 Media Youth Center Boys Tournament (Updated as of January 29th)
8th grade: March 4th (am), 5th (2:20, 3:30 & 4:40), 11th (late pm), Finals 12th
7th grade: March 7th, 8th, 11th (am), Semis 12th (3:30 & 4:40), Finals 14th
6th grade: March 11th (am), 13th, 15th, Semis 16th, Finals 17th (FULL)
5th grade: March 5th, 6th, 9th, Semis 14th, Finals 17th
4th grade: March 10th, 11th(pm), 12th (late pm), Semis 15th & 16th, Finals 17th
Entry fee will be $300 per team.
- Registration/Roster form and payment are due by Friday February 17th. Maximum of 6 teams per age group. Registration/Roster Form
- Team registrations for 4th Grade & 6th Grade are no longer being accepted. One team spot remains for the 5th, 7th & 8th Grade tournaments.
- Payment and registration/roster form can be mailed to: Media Youth Center, 1 Youth Way Avenue, Media, PA 19063 with attention to MYC Tournament or can be submitted via email to the email addresses listed below. Checks should be made out to the Media Youth Center. All entry fees and rosters must be received before schedule is made to secure your team’s entry.

On Saturday, March 25th please join the Media Youth Center as we honor our 2017 Hall of Fame Inductees as well as the Award Winners and Nominees from the 2016-17 Basketball season. This year’s Hall of Fame class consists of:

Tickets are $40 (Adult) or $20 (Child – under 18) and can be purchased through the website by ordering on line.
Media Youth Center Summer Camp 2017
June 26th - August 18th
MYCamp is for boys and girls entering grades K to 8 in the coming school year. There are 8 weekly sessions held Monday-Friday (except July 4) from 9 AM to 3 PM. Campers participate in sports, games, arts & crafts, swimming, field trips, summer reading and more. Snacks are provided but campers must bring a packed lunch.
The price per camper is $155 per session. For residents of Media Borough, the fees are $95 per session thanks to the support of the Media Recreation Board.
The camp is based at the Youth Center and the kids will have indoor space on the second floor, gym time, a field trip each week, plus one day a week at Knowlton Pool or Riddlewood Swim Clubs.
Each week is a different theme. You can sign-up for any weeks that you choose.

Session 3: July 10-14 Star Wars Week

The annual Media Youth Center Coaches Clinic was held Saturday, October 8th. Thanks to the 4 coaches who took time out of their day to help give back to the coaches of the Media Youth Center and other leagues. This years speakers were:

The Media Youth Center & First Lego League will once again be hosting jrFLL, FLL and FTC teams this year. Space is limited and will be made available on a first come, first serve basis.
- jrFLL is for 5 – 10 year olds and registration cost is $75 per person
- FLL is for 10 – 14 year olds and registration cost is $100 per person
- FTC is for 14 – 18 year olds and registration cost is $125 per person

The 2016 Iron Hill Brewfest, which has been a long-standing event that supports the Media Youth Center, was held on Saturday, May 14th.
The trunout was great and everyone had a fantastic time! The thinder storm held out to the last minutes of the event. The Media Youth Center thanks Iron Hill for their continued support
The event, held June 9th was a major success raising over $13,000 for the Media Youth Center. Moreover, for the 3 years Key Advisors has raised close to $50,000, all benefiting MYC.
The Media Youth Center would like to thank James Clary and the KeyAdvisors staff for their continued efforts and generous contributions. This money will help drive the Media Youth Center’s mission of providing a safe environment for youth to expand their minds, grow their bodies and have fun.
