Fall 2017 Basketball Clinics: Grades 1st - 8th

1st – 3rd Graders (boys & girls): Mondays 6:15 – 7:30pm  (7 weeks) – 9/11/17 through 10/23/17

4th – 8th Grade Girls: Tuesdays 6:00-7:15pm (7 weeks) – 9/12/17 through 10/24/17

4th -5th Grade Boys: Wednesdays 6:00-7:15pm (7 weeks) – 9/13/17 through 10/25/17

6th-8th Grade Boys: Wednesdays 7:15-8:30pm (7 weeks) – 9/13/17 through 10/25/17


Cost: $70/ child if registered by Sept 1st, 2017.  Late Registrations are $80/ child.

MyFi: Media Youth Film Initiative Fall 2017 Session

MyFi is a collaborative program presented by the Media Arts Council and the Media Youth Center.

MyFi Fall 2017 Session Info:

Grades:  9th - 12th

Instructors: Hezekiah Lewis & Darryl Ridgeway
Cost: $175, 10 weeks

Location: Media Youth Center, 1 Youth Way, Media
Wednesdays: 6-8pm
September 27th – December 6th
*no class Weds. before Thanksgiving

During the 10 week course, students are under the guidance of professional instructor Hezekiah Lewis, award- winning filmmaker and Assistant Professor of Communications at Villanova University, and Darryl Ridgeway, a filmmaker and mentor.

Media Youth Center Summer Camp 2017

Media Youth Center Summer Camp 2017

June 26th - August 18th

**As of 7/25 - all sessions are full.**

We do have a wait list - contact us to be added to it.

MYCamp is for boys and girls entering grades K to 8 in the coming school year. There are 8 weekly sessions held Monday-Friday (except July 4) from 9 AM to 3 PM. Campers participate in sports, games, arts & crafts, swimming, field trips, summer reading and more. Snacks are provided but campers must bring a packed lunch.

New this Year -- Extended day care will be available from 3-5pm on Mondays through Thursdays for $50 for the week or $7 per hour.  

The price per camper is $155 per session. For residents of Media Borough, the fees are $95 per session thanks to the support of the Media Recreation Board.

The camp is based at the Youth Center and the kids will have indoor space on the second floor, gym time, a field trip each week, plus one day a week at Knowlton Pool or Riddlewood Swim Clubs.

 Each week is a different theme.  You can sign-up for any weeks that you choose.

Age Groups (grade completed in 2016-17 school year):
Boys Grades: 4th – 11th
Girls Grades: 5th – 9th
*Divisions will be organized to be as competitive as possible.

The Media Youth Center is excited to hold its 2017 Summer Basketball League for individual participants and full teams.  All teams are guaranteed 8 games. Teams need to submit full rosters prior to competition. All games will be played at the Media Youth Center.
Deadline for registering is: Monday, June 12 -- Registration is now closed.
Cost for participation is only $65/individuals, $600/team.
*Minimum of 10 players per roster. Players will be added to teams with less than 10 players.

ANY PAYMENTS STILL DUE:  All individual and team payments still outstanding are due immediately.  Payment must be made by cash or check (made payable to the Media Youth Center).  There is a silver dropbox outside the front entrance of the youth center.  It is secure and payments can be dropped there.  Please clearly mark them for summer league with the player or team name.  Payments can also be mailed to 1 Youth Way, Media, PA 19063.

The Media Youth Center (MYC), located in Media, Pennsylvania provides a safe environment for youth to expand their minds, grow their bodies and have fun. We offer a wide array of recreational and educational programs for youth in addition to partnership opportunities with the community.
We are located at 1 Youth Way, near the intersections of 6th and Monroe Streets, and we hope to see you here at the MYC soon!

The vision of the Media Youth Center is to provide a wide array of constructive programs for our youth to explore and enjoy with their family, friends, and neighbors, in a safe environment.

March Madness became a February Frenzy on Championship Saturday. The stands were packed and the fans got to see 4 leagues crown their champions. Congratulations go out to:

Robotics At MYC

The Media Youth Center & First Lego League will once again be hosting jrFLL, FLL and FTC teams this year. Space is limited and will be made available on a first come, first serve basis.

  • jrFLL is for 5 – 10 year olds and registration cost is $75 per person
  • FLL is for 10 – 14 year olds and registration cost is $100 per person
  • FTC is for 14 – 18 year olds and registration cost is $125 per person
