For all gyms owned or rented by MYC:
- players & parents are only permitted in the gymnasium & nearest bathroom
- sneakers or stocking feet are required - no heels, boots, or dress shoes on the gym floors
- the only beverage permitted in the gym(s) is water
External Practices Policy:
Coaches wishing to have your team practice outside of the practice time allotted to your team by MYC provided that you follow the instructions in this policy:
If you want to hold any such practices, please inform the parents in an email that the event is not sponsored, insured, supervised or sanctioned by MYC, no MYC staff will be present at the practice, and that the fees they paid for their child's participation in MYC Winter League do not cover or apply to any fees charged by an outside practice facility. If the outside facility charges a fee to use their facility, you and the team parents must cover the fee (i.e. all parents could split the fee equally, you could pay the entire fee, some of the parents, but not others, could pay the fee). Same goes for any insurance coverage that the facility may require. Please note that there may be some parents who lack the disposable income to pay any fees in addition to what they have already paid to MYC for participation in the Winter League. You would be responsible for collecting the fee and paying it to the facility.
We also require that any outside practice end before 9 p.m. and be held at a facility located within 10 miles of MYC. Since this is a recreational league, not a select or travel league, you are limited to one additional practice per week. Finally, please note that not participating in practices outside the MYC scheduled offerings should not and cannot affect playing time.
